Hi All
Sad to say, but the time has come....I want to sell my 2005 Nissan Patrol 3.0 GL. The vehicle has 182000km on the clock. Full service history, first 150000km was done by Nissan, 165000km and 180000km was done by a RMI accredited service agent. Recent 180000km service: Replaced oil filter, fuel filter, engine oil, transmission oil, transfercase oil and differential oil. Injectors were checked and cleaned. This was done due to the fact that I am heading for Moz over the December holidays.
Looking to get R190000

Hi Iron
A sad day indeed.... Feeling guilty that the vehicle has not been used for it's intended purpose... I will get in contact for a day out, if I do not get decent offers on the machine....

Looking at the body of this Patrol, it's the facelift model so it should be the corrected ECU settings on it, and the fact the it's made 182000 Km, without blowing up, should be a good indication that all is well with this one, but then again ..... I only know the 4.2 old school diesel motor

Must be honest, I have experienced many pains with this vehicle...
Pain 1. My ears: They have to man up and try stop my smile from going around my head each and every day...
Pain 2. My back: It doesn't stand up to the challenge of hauling a rooftop tent, 2 jerry cans and a fridge for 1000km.
Pain 3. My hips: They just don't take well to cross axle situations....

Cedric, I hope you are right. I do not want to be a party-pooper. new shape ECU settings - more robust but not fulproof.
Mine was 2004 (pre-face lift) and I bought it on 180k. Went pop on 200k.
Then Grootseun's zd30 lasted 400k (and counting), and he only installed his EGT after taking ownership with (I think) more than 200k on the clock at the time.
So it can go either way.

Alex, you are 100% right, there is always an element of doubt, due to the reputation of the older ZD30's
