Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Where can I find cheaper ABS sensors for my 1999 Patrol GL. Dashboard light stays on....it appears that right front wheel sensor is faulty. Nissan dealers are ridicules with their prices on new sensors.

ABS????...... on a 4.2 diesel Patrol ?????
Something isn't making sense to me..... .... Mine doesn't have ABS at all, and as far as I'm aware none of the 4.2 diesels (GU-GL models) came out with ABS. As far as I know the Petrol GLX (4.5) came out with ABS, but not 100% sure even if the petrol GL (4.5) came out standard with ABS, but could be wrong about this.

Unless you are a lucky man.... and have 2 Patrols.... one 4.2 diesel and one 4.5 Petrol....

The 4.5 GL (or mine) have ABS.

Ok ..... I think that Mr Fourie has 2 very nice Patrols....

I can't understand why the 4.2 Diesels never came out with ABS.... maybe that would then have been the most advanced electronics in the Patrol....

But that's why I bought the Iron Maiden, cause she is a straight forward machine... can be fixed on the side of the road with a piece of "bloedraad", and can still drive 500Km from Botswana with a blown engine...... not many other makes can say that!!!

The reason why the 4.2 diesel did not come with ABS is because it only crawls -- does noet NEED ABS -- abs is for vehicles that actually MOVE [same reason why no ABS an LandRammel defenders

Me thinks from faint memory of a thread wayyyy back .. the Europe spec [Spane built] 4,2 DID come with ABS but NOT the Oztraaljan ones ???

Just think about it the Iron Maiden may even see 100km/h on the speedo being towed by one of them

To all you clever boys out there disputing the fact that my Patrol does not have ABS.....yes it is a 4.2 GL - Diesel that I own with a factory fitted ABS system....I have attached a picture of the thing in the right hand side of engine bay....called ABS

Then I have a ATX Turbo system fitted....so thank you...My Patrol does not need a tow from any of your "Monster" as you call them
