Guys, Last year in May, I bought a brand spanking new GRX. What a lovely piece of machinery but....

I just could not get myself so far to sell Bubhezi and it is still parked in my driveway, getting a spin every few weeks. Time has however come to say goodbye.

I have posted the add on Autotrader, but for the members on this forum I will make a special price since I am sure it would be a good home.

I hope you guys don't mind me using you like this....
Oom Mac (Kagiso) knows me and the vehicle, in fact, oom Mac named Bubhezi.
Chris Skinner knows me and maybe the vehicle. Put it this way, he has seen it a few times, but that is over a year ago..

Hi, there is some confusion as to the model of the patrol. I purchased is 2nd hand as a 1997. It is on my insurance as a 1997, not sure about the registration papers. I will check that later today.

I will change the autotrader to 1995 as well, since i would rather play it safe.

I tried to find out the actual model from the vin, but had no luck.

Here is the vin number if someone want to check it.

The windscreen has a crack, never really bothered me, but I am gonna say goodbye to my outbonus and replace it next week.

Spoke to Nissan Centurion to check the VIN number, but they were also unable to confirm the year model. Told me I need to contact Nissan head office.

The Gq and safari take the same windscreen check with glass fit

Hi Tinus, yes they do. Glassfit will probably fit it on Tuesday.

I was trying to find the year model in order to put the confusion to bed regarding 1995/1997.

Cheers

Ivor, your VIN number is within a few numbers of mine. Mine is a '96.

If it's not too late Andre (Stefaansie) got a windscreen fitted to his GQ for R500...

For that price, fit it with your own money and keep the outbonus, if a windscreen affects the outbonus (check, because I think it may not?).

Peter, thanks for the heads up. It is not too late and the windscreen claim does affect Outbonus. I will try and get hold of Stefaansie to check what type of windscreen was fitted for that price. No offense intended to Stefaansie, but I would want to fit a top quality windscreen.

Regarding the VIN: I suppose you refer to the last digits which indicate a serial number? How did you confirm that yours is a 1996?

Guys, I keep on forgetting to mention the roof top tent. It is a large Eazi-Awn with the shower/dressing room fitted for the GQ. This means that the section hanging down is long enough to reach the ground when it is fitted on top of the GQ. The tent also comes with the fittings for the GQ gutter mounts.

It is something (if not exactly) like the K9 series on the eazi-awn website. That shower skirt is what I had customized to fit the GQ. The tent is the 1800mm x 2440mm unit. The tent is in top condition. It is fitted sideways on the GQ, not as in the picture.

Ivan, I am working on the date of first registration as Nissan do not have these VIN numbers on their system.

Whatever the case may be, I can't really see how it can make any difference after 17 years?
