What are the merits of the "real thing"
I had mine custom made. Takes twelve ammo boxes, or six plus RTT.
Also my camping table has its own drawer between the roofrack and the roof.
I have not seen a factory model that can any of this.

I loaded some pics!
Alex, the only thing for me was the aliminium frame which is considerable lighter. The Roof Rack was really nice, but stands to high and the wife brings home the the parking lot roof everytime she comes from shopping.
Got one that sits nice and close to the roof. Light frame if I want to remove it. So its all about what you need and want the roof rack for.

(2) confirmded .. PLEEZ keep said R-Rack for the indellible LOBO [he is getting skin graft at moment so cannot come fetch too soon .. unless u can drop off in Benoni ?
