Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Hi Guys.

I hope somebody can assist me. Its time to replace my shocks so have decided to install a 2" lift kit (any recommendation here?) Problem is that the 4.8 GRX does not have an adjustable steering track rod and as you know, install a lift kit and you driving straight but your steering is pointing in a different direction and that would drive me insane. I know you can order adjustable tie rods from Oz and was thinking of making my own but would be much happier parting with my money and buying one right here is SA if available. If not, does anybody know that ball joints will fit on the Patrol?

I might be wrong but with a 2 inch lift kit everything stays standard on the 4.8
I have a 3 inch lift and caster correction buches on mine mabe g man has got some but I really dont think that you are going to need them

I have 2"lift and also needed my steering track rod to be made adjustable.
Syd's suspension did mine they are in Pretoria and I payed about R1900 it included new ends as wel, this was just more than a year ago.
Not sure what there tel is but google sydsuspention and ask to speak to Syd himself, this is not something standard that they do so you might need to convince him to do it.

I have also lengthened my pannards with 1.5 cm, did that myself since I was in a hurry and nobody had adjustable pannards in stock. This made a huge difference on my vehicle.

On a 2" lift ( 50mm ) there is nothing that needs changing other than the coils and shocks. Only from 3" ( 75mm ) or more will you need castor correction bushes and or drop boxes etc. If the steering wheel is off center then the steering wheel must be removed and adjusted accordingly.

I have a 2" OME lift in my Patrol and all is straight and true, other than the standard common Patrol gentle pull to the left

New Bridgestone 285/75/16 MT fitted, Iron man 2" lift kit installed, loads of ground clearance. Very happy
No steering adjustment necessary and she drives better than she ever did.
Cannot wait to hit the rough stuff in December.
