Hi there,

The name of Graham Cumming pops up repeatedly on the forums when it comes to a good mechanic. Is he as good as his fame?
Any experiences and comments?

Johannes

Some people swear by him, biggest advantage - he services a number of Patrols so has a good feeling on what or how a Patrol should feel not feel, knows what to look for etc, where as many other including dealers might service one once a month and can't even relate / compare vehicles to each other.

Graham is also a member of the Nissan 4x4 Club and you can e-mail him: gtechmotors@mweb.co.za

My experience with Graham is that because he knows the Patrol so intimately, he not only adresses the problem that he has been asked to sort out, he looks for other common faults or niggles that he knows are there and can become problematic down the line, or may simply be irritating and other mechanics could'nt or rather would'nt repair because that is how the car was made. Take our hydraulic clutch - pump it rapidly and it stiffens up after the 3rd stroke. I gave up asking guys to fix - everyone said that's the way it is, take it or leave it. Graham picked it up himself and sorted it without me even asking. He takes the time to listen and will carry out each request you have and report back on everything without trying to rush you so he can attend to someone else. Talk to him and you'll see just how well he knows our vehicles!

Hi Guys
Thanks for the kind word and positive remarks, it's fantastic people like yourselves that keep Graham "honest" and so willing to help and improve both himself and his service to you.

He loves these cars and has nothing but the greatest respect for them and their owners.
Only super duper people drive the ultimate 4x4 by far ... the PATROL!!
Kindest thanks
Vanessa
