Drove back from Sodwana yesterday and we're cruising in the right hand lane overtaking slower vehicles approaching the N4, N12 split outside Witbank . An idiot in a gen 4 golf get's on to the highway , cuts across all the lanes and pulls right in front of me, I bright him a couple of times slowing down and he moves to the middle lane, I start accelerating and as I get next to him he pulls into my lane again (not sure if it was road rage, drunk or whatever), so at 120 and a bit we do some hardgy bardgy shoulder rubbing - not a lot of road to my right and I keep my space. Idiot touches the trailer a bit as well. Did not stop but did report it to Police station (another 30+minutes wasted) in Witbank.

Getting back to the Patrol, the rock slider's foot step and the tire took most of the hit , some GT stripes on the "tupperware" as PC calls it and a bit of paint missing on the bumper, most of it will polish out. I'm sure there is plenty more damage, missing mirror etc on the Golf

All I can say, size, weight and good stability counts a lot. fuel might be a bit with a heavy foot but for safety it counts a lot for me!

Thanks guys, police, just said oh, did not even question the reason for not stopping.

I wasn't impressed with the police station, a number of officers outside joking , playing with a firearm, I could have sworn I heard a pistol being empty fired (distinct click sound) , also what I think I saw a shotgun and R5 being made safe or checked outside the door. With the family in the car I just wanted to get out.
