Kobus,

This would be a petrol. Maus do not do diesel conversions.

Hi, thanks for responding, it is a petrol as Grant stated. Maus conversions are petrol based.

Thanks MDG, it is a nice vehicle and part of my family. My kids grew up in this vehicle and I had to explain to them and my wife, almost like telling them a family member is terminally ill, that it's time we sold the vehicle as we're not using it any more. Took some convincing.

During our last trip to Botswana it was instrumental in assisting a brand new Defender to get out of sand (when all its buttons to get airborne were exhausted) and had to assist with the transportation of two of the members of our group who's Jeep blew its gearbox (came back on a flatbed). The Patrol, or as my wife fondly refers to it's backside, the Squatting Duck didn't blink an eye and never has.

My company car is a FJ Cruiser, great vehicle now that I don't have to cart kids around any more. However, if I had to drive to Cairo today, my choice would be ... the Squatting Duck!

Regards,
Piet

Grant, I believe I met you at Frontrunner and you referred me to the guys in North Riding re the canvas seat covers, that is if I'm not mistaken?

Met oom Piet and the Trol on Saturday; really a great buy for someone looking for an original, well-kept vehicle.

Good luck oom Piet!
