Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

My engine light has come on. Its goes off if i turn car on but will come back on sporadically. I think it is the Mass Air flow meter. Can any one suggest where is best to take for a check?

Thanks came right at last. I have replaced MAF and it is running like a dream now. I cant believe the difference.

it was R1650 from airflowmeters.co.za, delivered in two days. It is well worth the money. New from nissan they want R7600. Mr Cumming also replaced leads to MAF. Cant believe the difference.

I soooooooooo wish I can get this message to ALL Nissan owners .. The monkeyes at the spares desk at Nissan outlets quote you for the entire AFM body with sensor -- You must specify that only want the insert sensor [match box size ding-a-malêr .. ]
They only R1400 - R1800 at agents - NISSAN original genuine parts

SO -- pleas spread the word -- if you must replace the MAF on the NISSAN - [if cleaning with Carb Cleaner or Electro Cleen does NOT work]

ONLY by the insert -- not the entire throttle/MAF body - THAT is expensive - the insert for the Terrano was R1260 2 years ago. AGAROB's MAF was R1488 last year
