Recommended Mechanics

I am currently in the market for a second hand Patrol and will most likely purchase one shortly in and around Gauteng, MP, NW even the Freestate. However, as I stay all the way back in Ellisras, I wanted to have the vehicle checked out and/or repaired (most of the second hand vehicles have some "issues" that needs to be fixed before taking it on the long haul to Ellisras...)

I have read in numerous posts in the forums and can also vouch from my own (bad) experience to stay clear from Nissan Dealerships when it comes to repairs. Are there any mechanics/garages that the Forumites can recommend?

If we consider the following areas that might require repairs as a matrix in line with the hierarchy of the forum:
1) Engine and Engine System
2) Drive train
3) Chassis, Bodywork & Trim
4) Suspension, Steering & Brakes
5) Electrical & Electronics

8) Mods and Accessories
9) Patrol Parts (new and Secondhand)

Thus, for instance:

:eureka: Gauteng - Johannesburg West: Pappa Patrol on 011-123-4567 is recommended for services 1, 2, 3, 4, 9 (please note Pappa Patrol is made up - any reference to the real Pappa Patrol is purely incidental  )

Please feel free to expand this and then the Mods may even make it a sticky.
