Right so I WISH it was me, my parents took delivery of their pickup today and it's parked at my house.
- I've got my Pathfinder kitted in the drveway, bullbar, snorkel, 25k suspension and bashplates, sliders etc,
- got my "new" Disco 3 in the garage with some lekker Yoko Muds on and then the beast,
- a lekker new 4.2 Turbo intercooled Patrol with only 60km on odo. Mine for the next few weeks / month to run her in of course

. No 100% throttle, no constant speeds (rpms) for extended times and NO loads / towing for next 800km. So fun but yes running her in properly does take patience and persistence,
So three very capable 4x4's and my wife doesn't drive any of them...choices

tough life
Anyways here's some pics from this arvie

I'll take some interior pics as the car has changed from the 2nd hand ones we saw. The steering wheel is like the old Terrano - nice beefy 4 spoke with air bags for both pax and driver. Aircon makes the Disco 3's look like a palm leaf. As usual icy cold nissan air. Motor sounds lovely barely vibrations in cabin, windows wind up really quick compared to the Landy's. This bakkie is nogal hoog, I have to pull myself up. It's a truck and has the turning circle of one too.

I had some questions, my subject says "kinda" not because I'm not proud but because it's not mine.
Anyways what is the recommended tyre pressure, 235/85-16. I did around 379 km today with the longest stretch bring 20 km...so I'm tired and that ride was hard.
So I check the pressures 3.5 front and 4.3 on back! Thanks Nissan. I dropped to 2.5 and 2. Ride way way way better but tyres look a bit bulgey.
Then we went to the farm and had some fun at idle speeds. There's an embankment where I test all my vehicles, it's a great steep, grassy, muddy uphill with sharp break over and an axle twister. The patrol truly sucks - it's too easy. The kitted pathfinder makes it through with some drama. The disco with the same muds had drama but made it shooting out sand etc.
The patrol with tyres at 3 bar went through with no wheel spin and 800rpm. And my dad driving! To be honest he was apprehensive abut the patrol as he wanted a ranger and had disco. But after doing that with the other vehicles as a direct comparison with same driver and others are both modded vs stock patrol. Well tonight he was like a kid so so chuffed. 1100rpm in 4th and no labouring just that lovely diesel murmur.
If I could get an suv with that motor ;(
I just want to thank this forum for helping us make this purchase - it took the better part of two years searching but tonight my dad was almost emotional about his purchase - something I haven't seen in years. He said he though he'd miss the Disco3's buttons and tech. Apart from the rear hardness that front suspension will give the air a good go on comfort.
Thanks again to all here for a great forum and your patience

Congratulations Roy, I am sure that Trollie wil give you many happy miles.
Now put some weight on the back to get the ride sorted. Something like this:

It's true that a Troll makes many obstacles too easy
