Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Anyone replaced the viscous fan on a 4.2TD motor yet??

Mine has been seized solid for ....ummmm..... well.... for a loooong time, and I keep saying that I will change it, but Nissan wanted something like R 4000.00 odd for just a viscous...... not acceptable

Has anyone used Auto Cooling Solutions in the Cape for a viscous unit before? I've heard only good things about their fan blades.... but never heard anything about the viscous units.

ha ha...yeah .... I'll just drive around with the seized up one, a no10 spanner and a load of plasters in case of a failure....

Ricster you can also try Richard at Autofans in Cape Town. He was able to help me earlier this year.

Thanks mate.... I might be coming down to the Stellenbosch in Dec to visit my folks. I can then go have a look.... ( December is just around the corner !!! )
