Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Afternoon Guys

I Broke my Visco Fan on Monday in A Water Hole When I lost My Bow Wake, when the Water hit the fan it broke all of the blades off.
this i understand is a common problem when the Fan gets old and Brittle.
I can get a pirate replacement for R400 or the real deal from Nissan for 2k.
Any thoughts.

Not sure how good the pirate parts are, but I must say R400 v R2000..... for a piece of plastic??? .....hmmm... I'm kinda leaning towards the R400 side

That's what I reckoned as-well, 2k for a plastic fan blade!!!!
The other prob is the Pirate one I can only find in Capetown so I can't check it out before I buy it.
It is such a critical component I don't want to get it and then have to go buy the 2k one anyway cos the quality is suspect.
Does anyone know of a place in Gauteng I can Get a Pirate?

From what I understand, Elaine's part is the real deal?

If the place you are talking about is the same as has been spoken about here a few times before, then from what I've heard, they are pretty reasonable/reliable.

Do a search here on viscous fans and see if you can get any assistance from that

Die is die 4.5 se blade. Het myne seker nou al n jaar in en geen probleme nie. Die plastiek is rerig n goeie kwaliteid en die prys is nog beter.

Have Ordered the Fan From Elaine R295 plus VAT and Shipping.
Now it just needs to get here so I can fire my trol up again.
