Replacing the 2-point seat belt with a 3-point seatbelt

Hi Guys

Has anyone considered or done a replacement of the central 2-point seat belt with a 3-point seat belt?
Not sure if the newer models have this as standard. But certainly the 2004 models did not have it yet.

I have three kids, and sometimes we want to use the full back space for packing rather than using the back seats.
So one of the three kids have to sit in the middle and the 2-point seat belt is not in my view safe enough for the long road.

Got this link, but it is not local.

Otherwise, any technical issues? How invasive would this an operation be for the Trol?

You would probably have to build a frame connecting the two existing upper mounts with a brace from the mounting point for the third belt down to the bottom corners of the loadbay?

A better alternative might be to consider a four-point harness, with both the shoulder belt and lapstrap mounted in the same bolt. This approach would put additional strain on the backrest though, and this seating position should thus only be used if the two side seats are in use (so that the existing three-point belts effectively shore up the backrest) Also, the smallest child should be in the middle.

If you want, I think I have such a 4-point harness (the non-racing version with the standard catch, not the quick-release type) in a box somewhere?
