Does the GQ have a Lamda sensor on the exhaust system?

If so how many wires?

Tx

As far as I understand a lamda sensor works with a cat and feul injectoin and your GQ hasn't got any of those

No Dirk, nothing like that.

The only electronic sensors on a GQ's engine are the oil pressure and water temperature.

Thanks

Reasn for asking, guy phoned me last night about my Isuzu, He drives a 3.0 V6 and said he designed something that he fits onto the Lamda sensor and apperantly it bettered his fuel consumtion by 2-3L per km and he was looking for other vehicle to test on......

Dont know anything about this stuff, but hey if he could do that who knows it might have been worth a try.....

Id like to see that , the lambda sensor only control a signal in the 100mv to 900mv range to the ECU by means of oxygen passing through the Zirconia planar film and generating a voltage and it cycles through the 450mv Stoichemetric point constantly s he will probably only fool it to say its around stoich the whole time , all good and well but at this point you produce the most NOX gasses , let alone when the ECU is in open loop or even performing an emissions self test
