LONDON 2012 OLYMPICS

Hi All,
Being in London for the Olympics, has been so special and we have been overwhelmed by the magificence of it all! Our fortunate allocation of tickets included volleyball, and basketball (RSA family history), and in particular swimming, for our local resident daughter, who had personal contact with the La Clos family, and some of her old mates from the USA swimming team too!
But the striking and overwhelming impression has been the absolute brilliance of the organisational skills and planning, implementation and incredible politeness of the local volunteers. The cheerful and friendliness of them all, even including the (very serious) security threats they had to deal with, were simply unbelievable, and of course no crime anywhere!!
We watched with some amazement the snow and freezing weather you all have endured this last week, and to enjoy the fabulous summer sunny skies here is obviously fabulous! (25 C).
But all good things come to an end, and we will be back in RSA next week.
