Hi Folks,

Am considering fitting a Waeco Invertor as on offer from Outdoorwarehouse, intent is to use this for charging camera and such like... do not intend using it for heavy duty applications (and my fridge freezer runs happliy from my dual battery system)... anyone here had any experience with them?

Regards,

i baught a 800 watt invertor from AutoZone last month -- tested in in the outreach - en it draws the DVD player, the Data Projector and the 800 watt sound system from a 12 volt, 102 AH battery - noooooooooooooo prpoblem.

cost?? R550 [and it comes with a guarantee ]

How much O W wants for the Waeco? what output does it give?

There is reasonable variety of Waeco invertors at OW; from 150W (R599), 350W (R750), 550W (R950) etc I think the full Waeco range is from 100w to 2000w.

I don't have specific knowledge of the WAECO inverters, but can confirm that for charging camera batteries and operating a laptop, you do not need more than 350W.

I have a cheapie which has been working well for a couple of years now. You should be able to get away with paying in the region of R1/W?
