Diff lock

Hi guys, after yesterdays lekker Kumho fun day my electric rear diff lock doesnt disengage, I DID switch it off and the "ABS" "DIFF LOCK" has gone out but the locker hasnt disengaged. Iv reversed re-engaged then disengaged but no luck. Have disconected electric plug on wireing just in front off diff blowen it dry and sprayed it with spookpipie, still not playing ball.

Help does Anyone have any sugestions that can help? I drove from Kdorp to Centurion with it locked and am poeping myself.

Hi, just had a look at drivetrain section and saw same type of question so am going to start following instructions as per all you knowelegable guys. Sorry am still learning how this computer thing works, one day will be able to go to the right area in the forum and not ask stupid questions.

Hi Alex, thanks, took solinoid off and cleaned it, the 1 pipe was blocked. A least I now know this thing is not an electric diff lock its vacume operated, by the year 2020 I might be able to change a wheel on it if I read the posts properly

Glad you got sorted.
I am a much slower learner. I have to learn of every aspect of my car one item at a time.
So the diff lock is ticked off. I don't think the vacuum system is the most robust out there.

I had a similar problem. Gave it a small knock with a small hammer to solve the problem.
