Dion,

Will this fit a 2000 Patrol? And if what price region are you looking at ?

Hi Keeno

Can you specify whether this is a bullbar for the Y61 or Y60.
If for Y61, then for the shape prior to 2005 or 2005+
I already have one, but I know of someone with a 98 4.2TD 9Y61) that may consider this.

Alex

I must say that I am also interested and I have a 4.2 GL 1998 Y61 but being shy of income this year it all depends on what you are asking for this bumper and can you please send some pictures of this beast
thanks

:woo: I see many guys trying to sell on this forum, but often there are no fotos or feedback. Not sure what has happened to this one but it seems it is sold. Another interesting thing I have noted is the prices and expectations people have when selling something. When one has some idea of the second hand market and one sees the prices asked then you know it will not sell. Guys remember that generally a second hand 4x4 part does normally not have a high value. So n bumper, suspension and even the vehicles advertised on this forum dont generally move. Put it in at a price that is reasonable and it will sell. Also remember that money is tight and guys dont just buy. Just some advice as I have been watching shocks, winches etc been advertised here and they dont seem to move or if sold the guy does not say so, so it looks bad. Keep well :mytwocents:

Nico, the guy trying to sell that bull bar arrived on the forum and tried to sell several items, without any other interaction. His brother was the owner of these items and he unfortunately passed away, and the gent was trying to raise money for the family. There seemed to be no interest in any of them, and I suspect he has given up and gone elsewhere.

Now while I have no problem with the motive, I guess he would have had a lot more interest if he conducted the attempt in a different manner, but times are very tough right now, and I reckon most of us are pinching our cents as we have to get through the festive season, and I suspect a lot of us are not getting our customary bonusses this year.

I suspect there is a lesson to be learnt here, but I also suspect it wil probably remain mostly unlearnt...

I spoke the guy a few times he wanted 10K for the bumper , i also mentioned that its the same ONCA unit like the one that grobbies was selling for 2K and cannot accept a winch straigh out , he has a different opinion and says that 4x4 Megaworld sells a winchplate that you can fit and you cust a hole for the winch cable

I sent the pics to ONCA and their reply was that its a light duty unit and only recomended for cosmetical purposes , i did inform hom of this but still he claims it to be able to handle a winch and all the nice perks of the ARBS and says his brother paid more htan 10K for it

Maybe my info was wrong concerning this but in my opinion if i have to cut holes to fit a winch its not a winch compatible bar

Either way the last i heard or saw of hi he was busy selling a tire and some soccer shirts on here and then went quit so maybe its still available and maybe im wrong it might be a good bumper but it aint the one for me

You can bolt the winch to the chassy - it was done on mine with the origional bumper. Even the Patrol Manual show you that is the way to do it.
