Starter motor for 3.0 DI 2005

Post by Unkredible »

My Starter motor burned out and the new part is R10K +. Does anyone know where I can source an aftermarket / second hand starter for a 3.0 Diesel patrol??
I thought the car was on fire! Huge palls of smoke coming out of engine bay with acrid electrical smell...

Thanks!

Breno might be able to fix it as well.

Repairing can be done!

We have this one http://www.euro4x4parts.com/parts/gdm10 ... arter.html

Normal you'll have to pay a core of 150 € but being in Africa we could discuss this.
1 question r10K is about 1000 €?? Daar zakt mijn broek van af

Why not just use a Fiat Uno 1400 engine? I'm sure that will fit neatly onto the Patrol engine...

Thanks for the info. Oom Mac, PM sent.
Long story short, I sourced one, but it doesn't fit. Flange diameter too big, but otherwise identical. They say they have another option for me to look at...Very helpful guy at JHB Motor Spares in Boksburg. R2500. If I can get a second hand genuine part off a used handgrenade I would prefer it
