I have 265/70 16 goodyear wranglers on my 2005 3.0 TD patrol. I want to change to 275/70/16 BF MT's. Will it have an effect on my Feul cons. and the power?

If anyone can help?

Not so that you will notice it.

Those BF M/T's are terrible on wet tar - so be careful in the rain.

Those KM2's are great

Idon't see a KM2 listed in 275/70/16 - only in 265/75/16 and then 285/75/16 ??
The overall diameter of the KM2 265/70/16 is 31.9 inches and the 285/75/16 is 33.1 inches.

Your 265/70/16 Goodyear Wranglers should be about 30.6 inches so if you stick to 265 you should feel no difference in performance

I can only recommend the Khumo KL 71's. I changed from the 265 (31") Bridgestone Duellers to 285 Khumo M/T (33"). Minimal power loss, but a bit more noisy on the tar....... BUT offroad....... WOW !!!!!.... and price wise.....much cheaper !!

You can easily go for 285/75 R16's the 3.0 has enough power and the speed reading will be spot on.

PS The one thing I did find by going to the 285/75s (and some of the other patrol owners I've spoken to have also found this) is that the car tends to pull slightly to the left

Is it possible to go to 285/75/16 MTs on a standard suspension or is some lift required first?
