Ooppsssss - time's a runnin' out - I nearly missed out on this one - But MOST if not all of you know about this annual event.
This year Oompie will miss out as I am supposed to be in Botswana on these dates BUT nothing stopping the PATROL Manne to go and show the Toyotas a thing or 10???? [PLEEZZZZZ????]
INFO at: http://www.4x4atv.org/jamboree.htm

Grant - c'mon bro, we need some sponsors here?

AND will someone take reigns and coordinate the PATROL entry ? (I'll just mess up as I will be concentrating on the Winter Warmth Outreach from now on)
Speaking of which - our aim is for 5 tonnes of clothing for the village of Ranyane, where 600++ Bushman live with less than 20 of them having jobs as cattle herdsman [Their pay? One cow per year and one meal per day] (Read more on the Outreach Thread)

Hello Oom Mac
I would love to do the Rust de Winter. I will confer with the minister of finance tonight. However having never done one of these before, can somebody please explain to me how it works? How many nights must one camp there, how long does the trail take to do and can one do both the trail and the gymkana in the same weekend? Also, am I likely to damage my car on their gymkana?

Peter

I drove the track twice with Brutus [3.0 Hard Body] and Johan Safari with his Terrano - On day of the Jamboree there are a LOT of mud-holes, but mainly tricky driving [balance on see-saw, steep up & downs .. but people tackle all that with Fortuners.
Check the url link on my first post - there is a "Gallery" - but the vehicles are sorted in classes, so you can opt out on some.

(OR - 'klap saam' en sort Lobo se vering uit - dan kan julle met hom gaan :woo: :woo: :woo: )

Oom Mac,

I have already booked the weekend of the 20th May for 13 vehicles. I would like as many Patrols as possible. The Bundu Trail is a two day trail which is relatively tough, but great fun.
