Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Hello All
I have just returned from a trip through Lesotho where I hardly ever needed to fiddle with the short lever, and am thus suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms. Therefore, is anybody interested in joining me at Hennops 4x4 trial on Thursday?

Jammer manne, my timing is bietjie uit. Ons kom eers die 3de in PTA aan en vlieg weer die oggend van die 4e terug kaap toe :(

I ended up spending the day in the company of strangers. One of them was in a brand-new cruiser 200. The pics above show the two vehicles parked on the same obstacle. It looks as though the Cruiser's rear axle has about the same amount of flex as the Patrol's, but the front end doesn't work nearly as well.

Of course the traction control makes it easier to drive the cruiser, but downhill axle-twisters look a lot scarier than in the troll. Whatever, the Troll went everywhere, and nobody else was prepared to follow on the toughest obstacles.
