Matthew,
Please give us some indication on cost.
Some of these products are so expensive that it is cheaper to respray the panel. I can however see the need for this if I look at all the scratches I added on my last Kaokoland trip.

Hi David
Thank you for your response.
PaintShield retails for R300-00 per liter (ex vat & courier). You would be able to get 2 trips from 1 liter of PaintShield, working out to R150-00 per trip.
A respray may be cheaper, depending on where you take your vehicle. However, you would not have to deal with having to take your 4x4 to a workshop, be without a vehicle while they spray, etc.
PaintShield not only can protect your 4x4 but your trailers as well.

I will get my eyes tested - I didn't 'see' the pricing in the add!
I presume the thickness and protection depends on the number of layers you paint as it is not a film from a roll but a liquid you paint on.
Do you have to specially prepare the surfaces before painting?

David, yes the thicker the coating, the better the protection PaintShield offers. You don't have to specially prepare the surface, as long as it is fairly clean then PaintShield can easily be applied.
G-man, I recommend that PaintShield be applied by brush, as it is more accurate than rolling and you won't have to mask up areas if you were to spray. If you would like to purchase some product, please send me email-
matthew@dewpointproducts.co.za, with your details and how many litres you need. I will load you up on our system and send you an estimate.
