Russian-spec 4.2TD, factory fuel heater, PTO winch, 24V electricals. Pretty much zero creature comforts, but it starts right up in the middle of Russian winters. No mods to speak of (yet).

It is:
a) large;
b) white; and
c) a whale.

The Russians knew how to content with harsh challenges. Who of you remember the PTO winches on the Russian military vehicles...Urals etc? Awsome no-nonsense concept.

Thank you for the compliments. My little wifelet took the photos so I will pass the compliments on the photography to her. I wish I could get the photo of my Patrol in winter plumage to upload.

Russia has something like 1/6 of the world's land mass and less than 1% of the world's paved roads. Not to mention the festive winter season and the mud the precedes and follows the winter. So Russian people generally know "off-road" and are good at making off-road vehicles.
