Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

One of these overtook me this afternoon at 160+. Searched Nissan website and it doesent appear under new cars but found a different link: https://www.nissanafrica.com/experience ... in-africa/

Has anyone had a really close look at one of these? Dollars?

I think that is the replacement for the Pathfinder. Nissan SA brought about 20 (may be more) of them into SA about two years ago as a market test. All were sold out in about two weeks. I don't know any more by the reaction of the powers that be.

To me it looked too much like a Fortuner..... Maybe my Pathfinder spoilt me, I loved that vehicle!!

Well spotted! I've never seen a Terra in the metal...

I've seen their predecessors in the US when they were still known as the Xterra. The Xterra was based on a Hardbody D22 platform, sort of like a Nissan Sani but straight from the Nissan factory.

The Terra is based on the Navara's D23 platform and is indeed seen as the tougher body-on-frame replacement for the Pathfinder. The latest Pathfinder is still available in some parts of the world with a less rugged unibody design.

There's a silver one driving around here in the East of Pta, saw him a couple of times.
