Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

I don’t see a lot of posts on Y62 patrols on the forum. seeing that they have been around for some time I would have thought there is way more going around and options for upgrades.

im looking at a performance upgrade on my Y62 on the exhaust system to improve fuel, performance and sound. Any advise or recommendations from anyone who did this?

I saw (and heard) a very nice system on a Bronze Y62 here in Melkbos but could not trace the owner yet to get more details on what he did. If anyone knows him I would like to be put in touch with the owner.

Im also looking at slightly bigger tire option without having to modify the suspension which I believe comes with all kinds of issues.

Any Y62 owners that can advise on this will be appreciated

What size tires are you currently rolling with?

AFAIK 35' fit on y62 with standard suspension, depending on rim offset (think you might need a lower offset - to push tyre slightly out to prevent rubbing.).


WRT to exhausts, might be a good idea to speak to the guys at Viper Performance Exhausts. They a bit far from you though, but might be able to give you advice.
On some vehicle models they do have ready build exhaust systems that can be couriered and fit - not sure about y62.
