So here's the next step of the process:
The distance between the lip of the GQ's bonnet and the top of the bumper is 360mm

But the top of the grill is solid for the first 90mm.
The radiator extends right up to the bottom lip of the bonnet. So there is a good 25% of the radiator that's not getting a direct supply of air.

What did you paint the headlamp surrounds with? I want to paint my grill - not a fan of chrome.....

Rustoleum rattle can "hammered finish" grey. Not sure how well it'll last.
