Ek geniet eintlik die sin vir humor.
Ek is seker as jy in Pretoria of Johannesburg kan uitkom, kan jy saam met een van die Patrol-manne ry.

GEROTEK FEEDBACK
Feedback
After discussion with Gerotek, some club officials and members two options were on the table.
Option 1. The first option is for an informal 4x4 fun day limited to the Patrol4x4 forum, Nissan4x4 forum and some DoD and Armscor participants on a first come first served basis. It would inlcude the following:
25 vehicles max (50 persons).
Introduction (marketing) by Gerotek.
The use of three 4x4 tracks with two instructors. The tracks to be used will be decided by Gerotek on the day of the event.
Start time 08H30, Braai 13H00, Departure 16H00.
Drive in groups. Nobody may drive on own. No late arrivals accepted.
No skid pan.
No high speed track.
Samil 4x4 trip(sponsored by Gerotek).
No alcohol use before or during driving events. Tracks close as soon as alcohol is opened.
Braai facility in the veld (Bring and braai basis, own chairs, eats and drinks).
No sponsors/manufacturers allowed.
Other parties may be present.
Right of Admission is reserved.
Cost: ± R250 to R260 per vehicle (inclusive of admin costs). This is based on 25 vehicles.
If there are less vehicles it will become progressively more expensive.
Option 2. This second option is a full house formal option which could include the following:
50 vehicles max (100 persons).
Introduction (marketing) by Gerotek.
The use of six 4x4 tracks.
Start time 08H30, Lunch ±13H00, Departure 16H00.
Drive in groups. Nobody may drive on own. No late arrivals accepted.
Skid pan.
High speed track.
Samil trip.
Two instructors.
No alcohol use before or during driving events. Tracks close as soon as the bar is opened.
Sponsers allowed (but formal/proffessional approach due to the presence of a sponsor/vehicle manufacturer).
No braai facility.
Catering by Gerotek at the Restaurant (Arrival snacks, lunch, waiters and barmen.
Medic on site.
Right of Admission is reserved.
Cost: This option is fully costed and the costs are considered to be prohibitive for the club and unlikely to be sponsored.
Note: It was not possible to opt for a large group of 60 to 100 vehicles which could include all the Nissan associated clubs (GTR, ZX, Datsun, etc).
After dicussion with club officials it was decided that a separate function at a different venue would be considered to include all the Nissan associated clubs.
Option 2 is therefore discarded as it would not meet the various clubs' requirements and due to cost limitations.
There is an opinion that Option 1 is also too expensive
and should not be pursued. Others argue that this opinion should be tested.
Here is my offer to the forum
I am willing to pursue Option 1 given a good show of hands within the next week. Should there be a strong interest (25 vehicles).
I am happy to continue with the arrangements. However, an up front payment will be required at a predetermined date to confirm the numbers, secure the venue and confirm arrangements.
If there is an inadequate show of hands and commitment, or if it is generlally considered to be too expensive then we would have to give this one a miss.
I will be out of town next week, so your feedback
would be appreciated by Saturday evening 07July 2012 please.
Yours Aye

Re: GEROTEK
Assuming we can get at least say 20-odd vehicles there, this would be cheaper for me than this weekend's event at Bass lake...
I am in, as long as more than 18 people have committed.
Come on guys, lets do it!

Re: GEROTEK
I see us spending on average R200 on any other event that we do during the year. Personally I thought R250 - R260, was less than what we were going to pay for this type of event.
Ok ..... I'm in
