Parts landed in Jhb this morning, da wife she is playing delivery girl today..... Kia sportage bringing Patrol spares home....

I can't wait to look at +/- R 10 000 worth of spares..... never thought I would do this....ha ha.... but I still thinkI got a good deal and Thanks to Frans, I know everything I need is in that 12Kg box!!

Thanks... I'm going to work that camera overtime.

The spares are at the engineering, and I'll collect the motor on Friday. BUT..... father in law's birthday is Friday.... so not much work will happen that day, and Sunday is Ouma's birthday. That only leaves Saturday to do as much rebuilding as possible..... bliksem thats a lot of work in short space of time. And it looks like my SANI is now sold too. So I'm as from Thursday, Portuguese.... cause I'm carlos..... .... I'm going to burn some midnight oil assembling that motor to get mobile again !!

I really think you should consider a new set of headers. There's a good possibility that the previous owner turned up the fuelling to get the right power, because the headers didn't scavenge properly. It's probably the high fuelling and subsequent seriosuly high EGT's on load that finally did the damage to Iron Maiden. This is my "layman's" understanding...I'm sure Frans will be better suited to expand on my comment?

I just got the diesel pump back from Bosch, with reconned injectors. Turns out that 2 of the injectors was faulty. Bosch oakie says it was sprayin a stream and not a spray.

MORAL OF THE STORY .... REPLACE INJECTORS AFTER 60 000 Km !!!!

I'm not too sure regarding the headers, but money is starting to get a little thin. Bosch says he will put it on the dyno for me when I'm finished and he will check everything out for me.
These guys I will recommend without bliking an eye !!!
