This is on a GQ's flares: How would you re-attach this bracket to the flair if it broke loose? 
Got a few of these that came loose.

There is no way to do it such that it will last.
One could make new brackets from aluminium flat bar that that extend all the way to the outer edge of the flair and rivet them on but it will be ugly and easily destroyed.
I am in the process of replacing my flairs with rubber ones. It as an extrusion that is available from 4x4 direct. Unfortunately it does mean drilling some holes in the car, but you drill into the bottom (rolled-over) edge of the wheelarch, so not too unsightly.

I did the rear axle before the river trip. Didn't have enough material to do the front axle as well.
