No embracing moment for the Landie boys, the Landie was used as an extension rope the get the boat out of the water with the Patrol as the tow vehicle!!!

In defence of the Landie (if the forum would allow me!)
Going too deep beyond the slipway's cement surface would get many a vehicle stuck.
Too late to blow down then.
It is mostly sensible driver (the one not going too deep in the river) recovering the less sensible one (irrespective of brand).
Unless of course we get stuck for fun. But that you only do in a Patrol if there are a safe number of other patrols around to avoid this kind of embarrassment.

If you're not getting stuck you're not trying hard enough.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

That Landy story might ruffle a few feathers, don't you think?
Makes me think of this video I saw the other day, thought of the guys on this forum:

Look at it like this …
It just shows the selflessness and passion of the Nissan Guys …….& Girls.
Always willing to help and assist people in need and distress … anytime …anywhere.
... and to Evans Video.... That is a traction test.... not a recovery
