Hi Guys, sorry I have been abit on the quiet side.
I am sitting in Brazil doing a drydocking and drive upgrade which has taken more time than expected. I have been here for 3 weeks and still got at least another two to go.
So you know what happens when you not around, it all slows down.
The news I do have is that the electricals all done (according to the auto lecky)
The vehicle is at Warren Steyn having the headers built. He is probably the only person that still makes custom headers by bending the pipes with sand so no kinks. It was supposed to take a week, but he has had the vehicle for two weeks. I have just sms'ed him to find out where we stand.
I am still trying to sort out an airbox, waiting for Donaldson to get back to me. They apparently have a nice one, but we are not sure if it will fit. Waiting for a sample to come down from JHB.
Just got the text back from Warren, something about having to make up other flanges!!!
So thats the story.
Hopefully I can get things moving when I get back home!!

Engel, believe me I am trying to get this done as fast as possible.
Anyway the reason for the 12 flanges, is there is apparently no room for the exhaust to go down past the front propshaft, so now it all goes round the front!!
Need some pics to see this!!
He did the same on my Jeep with the LS1, which I managed to put a big dent in one of the pipes.

Ok next update, headers are finished
Only problem is I still haven't seen them. Asked Warren to take some pics and send them to me, but for some reason he could not get them to send. So if any bored members out there want to get some pics for me, let me know and I will let you know where the next stop is.

Oh by the way, if anyone is interested, the last pic I posted of my jeep was in the 2005 Outback Challenge in Australia. Just a bit of useless information.\!!!!!!!!!!!

Baie cool Jeep

Theuhan the website link is below.

The yellow GQ you talking about was Mahems (on the forum). Think he went in 2007. When this picture was taken was the 2005 event and he was my co-driver.
Chris Ingram was there with his Hilux with a lexus motor in And Terence Reinders had an 80 Series cruiser chasis, with hulux cab and LS1.
My jeep had an LS1 in.
Taking part in these challenges taught me first hand what a machine the Patrol is, hense my move from Jeep To Patrol

Anyone anywhere near Powerflow Saltriver. My vehicle should be there now. Would really appreciate a picture of these headers that have been built for me.

It looks very good Alan other than the clean insides of the exhaust......
