Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Ok so it has now been about 8 months since I did the castor correction bushes on my Patrol and the results are not great

I have done a Namiba trip since then, the river trip and about 3 4x4 trips and the bushes look horrible.

I heard allot of noise coming from from the front end yesterday at Moegatle and this morning I had a look at the radius arms and both of the front bushes seem to be popping out. The noise nust have been the radius arms rubbing against the metal brackets when flexing.

I will send the pics to Ironman and see what they say.

Immm....me thinks that material is to hard dont know what else to think.....

I think another possability is that the half half bushes cannot take the punishment. I think the one piece is a much stronger option

Ek wil nou nie 'n lang relaas skryf wat gaan klink soos "I told you so" nie, maar die problem is nie die hardheid of sagtheid nie, en ook nie net die half-bush ontwerp nie.

Polyurethane kan nie vibrasie/skokladings hanteer soos rubber nie. Dis hoekom niemand dit gebruik vir enjin-monterings nie.

Poly kan redelik goed werk in suspension bus applikasies in renmotors en in bladvere se punte, maar is myns insiens nie geskik vir radius arm busse of eniga ander busse op coil-spring 4x4's nie.

Ek hoor wat jy se Peter en ek stem saam, my huidige probleem is dat daar nie caster correction bushes is in rubber nie en slegs poly.

Ek sal nou moet standaard Nissan bushes in sit en dalk maar vir die drop box opsie gaan.

Of ons moet kyk wat n x-link gaan kos.....

Ja Michael wat ons nie besef nie is dat daai busse word verby maksimum ge toets en oor n stadige tempo en ons jag nie duer dongas en slote nie ,ons bekruip dit en dan hang die hele as onder druk aan daai after market bushes...
jy weet self dis soos n nuwe tyre te koop of n retread te koop...die een het n proper bonding cure-ing time span waar daai retread cheap quick fix is

Just an update on my castor correction bush problem.

IronMan has replaced my bushes under warrenty
They will be supplying me with a new set of solid castor correction bushes and IronMan Centurion has been of great help in this matter. I only need to cover the fitment cost.

It sounds like the adjustable caster bushes (like the ones that failed) wasnt the best when it comes to durability and is now discontinued.

Im just very happy that Ironman is backing their products the way they do.
