As this will be my first trip I just want to check a couple of things with the people that has been there before.
1. Will there be any water along the way that we can use to wash our backsides? (Or Should we bring water for this. Is there water in the river or any dams in the vicinity?)
2. How are we going to Braai. (Is everyone bringing a small portable braai or can we make a communal fire and simply use tripod and portable grid?)
Can we make fire and is there wood in the are that we can collect or should we bring wood.
I am definitely not new at camping but need to know if I have to bring Firewood, Water for Washing, Portable Braai or simply a Grid and Tripod.
I appreciate the feedback. Looking forward

to meeting most of you shortly.

I've never done this trip, But i think each vehicle as an entrance fee has to bring a bag of wood ( or 2 if they feel the burn.... oops I mean need ).
I think the central fire is the best way to do it for cooking purposes. better than having 30 small fires everywhere.... NASA will think the aliens have landed if watching from their satellites at all the flickering fires....hahaha
I would suggest bringing your own braai grid and tripod setup to make life easier for yourself.
Water, I would suggest bringing from home if possible. I'm bringing the solar shower and have a 60L water tank fitted where my sub tank should be so the wife is sorted ( sunny weather being the main factor !!! ) I will bring along 20L drinking water for coffee and nursing the babalas the next morning.....
Then the MOST IMPORTANT piece of equipment will be to remember to bring along your own personal spade...... besides for digging holes in the ground for what ever nature wishes to graciously relieve itself from the company of your body, but possibly a
separate spade for moving some hot coals to the side be able to cook on...... just saying.... use it ..... don't use it..... WWW WWW WWW
