LATEST UPDATE

Jokkie het terug gekom na my toe - ek moet self Nissan SA kontak en n "customer complaint" doen. So gese so gemaak - ek het met n afrikaans sprekende dame (dankie tog!!!) gepraat en my saak gestel - en toe alles aan haar gefaks ook.

Sy se hulle behoort tussen die volgende 3 - 4 werksdae terug te kom na my toe met n antwoord :pray: - ai - waar le volgende week woensdag / donderdag nog??? :doh:

Wel aangesien jy self dit moet doen hoef jy seker dan nie na dieselfde dealer toe gaan nie. Vir die effort wat die dealer insit kry hy tog dan geld terug vir die werk wat uitgevoer gaan word.

My vrou se karretjie , 'n Masippa Benz se engine liggie gaan aan, dit is toe n olie lekkie wat die liggie getrigger het MAAR die olie lekkie is amper 20K se skade. Die olie hy lek deur die sensor in die draad in, dan deur die engine wire loom en dan skryf hy die O2 sensors af en as jy gelukkig is dan is hy nog nie by die ECU nie. Die motor was net net binne sy motorplan en met MB dra jy mos meer by na jare/km meer raak. Na n groot ophef het hul toe darem die meeste betaal omdat ek gevoel het dat n fabrieks en ontwerp fout die oorsaak is en omdat MB SA nie n recall gedoen het nie om n eenvoudige pigtail in die draad te sit om dit te verhoed. Snaaks genoeg die service manager probeer my verseker dat dit baie selde gebeur en nie eintlik n issue is nie, dit terwyl sy kollega n baie ongelukkike M klas eienaar vertel hoekom sy 4x4 nie reg is en ook nie betyds gaan reg wees vir sy vakansie nie, ook oor n ratkassie olie lekke wat olie in die ECU ingedruk het.

Ek hoop rerig die consumer wetgewing kom in en help ons omdat die verkaffers oor die man in die straat loop . Ek wonder wat het toe gebeur met die mein-eed (nie seker van spelling) krimenele saak teen die delta ingenieurs wat in die hof gelieg het oor ou Koos van der Merwe se Isuzu bakkie.

Havn`t been on the forum much this week, so only saw this thread now. Very sad to hear about your troubles.

I wish you all the best in the fight with Nissan SA, I really hope you can convice them to come to the party. If that route doesn`t work out, then I think your idea of going the TD42 route is a good one. If the Aussie sites are to be believed, the TD42 is good for at least 600 000km if its looked after nicely. On that basis it sounds like a pretty good long term investment in your vehicle!!

I am hoping and ( :pray: ) for the best with Nissan SA - but ja if that does not work I am seriously going to go the 4.2 diesel route. But for now.....baby steps!!!

eish, dis baie skade! Ek hoor daar is mense wat nuwe 3.0 enjins vir 30 doen en na die dastek conversion het hulle meer krag!. Die aussies is mal oor die 4.2 masjien! Good luck met die masjien!

Ai ai ai - die ou samelewing van ons darem.

Na n week se geduldige wag, het ek begin navraag doen. Nou 3 dae later, 4 email boodskappe later en omtrent 5 oproepe na Nissan SA het ek vandag uiteindelik die nuus gekry:

NISSAN SA HET NOOIT MY DOKUMENTASIE ONTVANG NIE - OF SO BEWEER HULLE!! DIE KONSULTANT HET MY BLYKBAAR VERWAR MET N DR DU TOIT WAT TANS OOK N PROBLEEM MET N VOERTUIG HET!!!

So nou moet dit weer alles van voor af begin - met die dokumente wat ek vanoggend weer moes faks - ek het darem al n epos gekry in ontvangs erkenning vir die dokumentasie.

Nou seker nog n week wat sal verbygaan.......kom ons hoop die gewag sal vir my die moeite werd wees
