Sorry for the late reply Fanus,
I meant that I think if it is a thrust bearing making the noise, then better to change it sooner than later, but the little springs in the clutch plate could still go for a few more km, but then thinking about it if you are splitting the gearbox from the motor, might aswell put a new clutch plate in while doing the thrust bearing.

Morning, do not know much about gearbox. I had my gearbox stripped to find out what is causing the rattling, all oil working parts was good, fitted new clutch kit, skimmed flywheel all for nothing still making the same noise only slightly less. After further investigating and Google I found out that it is the clutch plates metal section that destorts when hot then the small springs rattle, do not know how much truth this is, on my next clutch change I will put in Terrain tamer kit, I hear they are good.
