If I remember correct you have the 4.2 Manual.
It might be a good idea to drive one or two other 4.8s, especially if it is an Auto, to help evaluate.
This is a big car and the auto has the ability to make it feel 'dead'.
Mine was compared to a LC 94.5 EFI) with Van der Linde conversion and with 3 in achieved the same up-hill acceleration as the LC with only one in although the initial comment was that it feel as if does not pull as well.
Might be time invested.

Do you ous realize that Grant's daily driver is a Moerhaarnou? Which has six spark plugs?

Now with a petrol all Grant have to do is checking the fuel gauge and does not have to worry about anything else.
