That is interesting.
There is no air scoop, so likely a 4.8.
Yet the specs seem to be GL (16" rims and black rather than chrome trim door handels)
But it looks brand new, and the 4.8 in GL spec was not available in the later models...

Alex they did bring out a GL spec in the new shape in 2005. But was only availible for a limited time. According to the owner of nissan in secunda, he says that people mainly baught the GLX spec. so they stopped bringing them in to SA. One forum member sold his 2 years or so ago. If I remember correcrly. The foto of the car was the Patrol on a ferry crossing a river.

I just got back from a break along the Cape Coast, and spent the last week or so in Onrus (right next to Hermanus).
It was also quite eventful from a driving point of view.
My fuel filter was badly clogged, and after being replaced in Gansbaai, the pump (inside the tank) gave up the ghost the next day, having being subject to much more pressure due to the clogged filter. This is a story worth a separate thread, so will post that later.

Due to all this, I almost forgot about the job I had to do while in Onrus. That was to collect Mamba's (Anton's) bashplate from Jan Dup in Hermanus.
So on our last day there (1 Jan), as we drove back from the beach, I called Jan. He was on the road on his way back home.
So he explains he will be there in five, and gave directions.
As he is doing this, I spotted a silver Patrol driving in front of me.
So I thought it is worth asking, Jan:
A: "Jan, do you perhaps drive a silver Patrol?"
J: "Yes, is that you behind me in the white Patrol?"
A: "Yes!"
J: "Then just follow me home"
So we both ended up having done our reciprocal / respective Patrol spotting.
