Thank you. I just did. I am new to this so let’s hope he gets/reads it.
When you send a PM the recipient will get an E-mail notification (assuming he provided the correct e-mail address and still uses that mail account).
Note that the PM will remain in your outbox until the recipient reads it.

Heiko - welcome to the forum.
There are several members here with Y62's. Unfortunately, us poor folk who cannot afford them all have Y60's / Y61's.

As such, I'm totally the wrong person to ask. I could point you at the reference library which has various manuals and similar. However, there is, as far as I know, very little associated with the Y62 there...
I'm sure one of the Y62 members will see your post at some point and respond accordingly. But unfortunately, the WhatsApp groups appear to be more active than the forums these days. I say unfortunately as a believe a large amount of information is "lost" in this way.
I can add you to the WA group if you like and you can ask any questions there ? If I can just ask a favour - please post anything interesting you learn here so that we have some searchable record for it. :)
Send me your cell number if you want me to add you the QA group.

Thanks Ian,
I sent you a PM. I used to own a 4.2 Petrol Y60. I travelled all over east africa with that. My mind was actually set on the new landcruiser 2.8 D/c until i went to drive one and sat in the back seat. I have two teenage kids and it will literally not be possible for my son to fit in the back.
I got the y62 2020 model for a good price. It only has 46k km on it. I want to convert it into my overlanding vehicle. So any information will be much appreciated. And yes, as i start kitting it I will post updates for other y62 owners.

Ok, to give some feedback on the accessories for the Y62.
I got the RHINO EVOLUTION 3D bar in johannesburg. It comes with a led bar which is incorporated in the bar as well as a bash plate. The Bullbar should be in namibia next week. I also got the 12000lb winch from them.
For the rear i am looking for a twin spare wheel carrier since i want to fit an additional 120lt tank under the car where the spare wheel currently sits. For this i will get the outback accessories rear carrier which can take up to 2x 35" tires.
Roofrack i am getting the Frontrunner.
With all the weight i will need to do something to the suspension and since it is very difficult or almost impossible to find someone that can do the de-pressurising and re-pressurising of the HBMC system on the patrol i opted for something where it is not necessary.
Front: Aftermarket lower control arm with 50mm lift to carry winch and bullbar.
Rear: Stronger springs for constant 400kg and 50mm lift. In addition the rear will get airbags.
I hope this helps for anyone looking to upgrade their patrol. All the suspension components dont require any work on the HBMC system.

Great that you managed to source the components. I am very keen to see how it turns out!

Let us know how you find air helpers, hated mine on the Y61, chucked them out.

So I installed the rhino winch and bullbar. Other parts are purchased and on their way from Australia.

Morning Guys. I am also looking into upgrading my Y62 suspension. Ive done a lot of research and like Heiko cannot find someone in SA that could de and re pressurise the HBMC. I am going to Aus in August and will visit Dash offroad and see what I can learn from them.
Please share photos of your front rear bar Heiko and looking forward to see the lift kit when you install them.
I will also send you a dm Heiko.
Thanks.
Johan
