Ok Fig's are in for Hellboy! Torque about 490nm so not bad, 120kw   he is only allowing booste of 0.3 bar!! So have given Thys the go ahead to do the upgrades, gearbox cooler, boost compensator, larger fuel pump, Timing gear 60-2 or 36-1, getting rid of the dizzy and fitting 3 x twin coil pack, larger airfilter with new airbox linked to my snorkel

150-160 kw here we come

P S was quite a bit out with my pricing on the turboing  with the rand/Dollar we are now closer to R85K for a turbo conversion on the 4.8 and only about R6-7K cheaper on the petrol 4.2 GQ :surprised:

PPS the standard 4.2 petrol GQ pushes about 70Kw on the rear wheels on the dyno so 120Kw is a 71% increase but 150kw sounds better with 114% increase :blonde: :woo:

This is impressive, would love to see some pictures of the GQ setup, so the internals of the 4.2&4.8 petrol is up to the task for a turbo but not the 4.5 petrol if I understand correctly?

Rudolf, yes correct there needs to be work on the heads and con rods need to be replaced on the 4.5
