Andrew Mentis (011 255-3200) in Elandsfontein, Germiston and Larmesh (011 918-5961/2/3) in Anderbolt, Boksburg are manufacturers of expanded metal and both do it in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. For the flimsiness you can use something thicker but then it also becomes heavier.

For the mesh, consider stainless instead.

Weld strips of flat bar on the edges with bolt-holes to attach to the frame. With some clever design, this could then hold the frame together and remove the need for any aluminium welding...

Good idea but I need no protruding nuts or bolt heads top or bottom..... I want slides on the bottom for table and 2 solar panels.....

I will draw up and post later but design incorporates RTT (with lighting inside) opening to the rear, awning on passenger side with lighting, table and 2 solar panels sliding in underneath, slide out shower enclosure, 3 X 40 l water containers, gas geyser and accessories in a box but on slides, gas bottle and then front area with expedition bars for wood and any other light stuff.

This will go together with chairs mounted on back doors, gullwing windows both sides with access to kitchen and pub, 2 swingarms on back with spare wheel, HL jack, spade, 60 l fuel and 4 recovery tracks with power points for solar and in/out in the bumper.

Then packing system with fridge, dual battery, compressor and lots of drawers inside..... This final design I will do at later stage.....

Bend the edges up 90 degrees and bolt them to the inside of the frame.
