Personally I would look at Adrian's 4.8 (2003)

Mileage means nothing on Patrols, but at least its a 4.8

There is very little price differace between that 4.5 and Adrian's 4.8.
I would without a doubt rather take the 4.8

Ditto go for the 4.8 I have owned both and the difference in power and drivability on the 4.8 is significant. I would also say that R130000 is a bit on the high side for that patrol . I sold my 4.5 with all the bells and wistels on in immaculate condition to another forum member for R110000 admittedly it was the GL model but also a 2001

P.S if you look hard enough you can get the 4.8 facelifts for round the R150K my first one was a 2005 and I paid R160K for it my current one is a 2006 which I paid R155K for "BUT" my advise to you is to buy one with all the kit on it, my 2006 has now cost me well in excess of R200K with all the bits I have added on to it and most of them where second hand!!!

IMHO: A 4.5 of 2001, should not cost you more than 100k (110k max).

I agree - a bit pricey!
(110 or skightly less should be more appropriate) - I sold a 2001 with about 145k kms and aftermarket bumper for 140 3 years ago!
I understand your need, but if you a little patient - the right one will eventually pop up!
