the heapest will be just to rebuilt the 4.5. Then you no there is no hidden costs and everything fits as it should. The cheapest engine change is the lexus v8. You get good deals on motor and wiring management incl. :mytwocents:
I do not believe there is such a thing as a cheap engine change.
Except maybe changing from ZD30 to 4.2D, because the two engines were built for the same car, the same fuel type, and less electronics.
The cheapest engine maybe Lexus v8 and still a good deal, the costs comes in a range of issues:, exhausts, bell housing, tanks taken out to clean, and getting all the wiring done.

I have a good setup, but only because I was prepared to spend a lot to get it right.
Given the costs, in hindsight I would have considered more seriously the option of "fix-it, sell-it" & "buy something else", rather than convert. Financially at least that would have been better.

Alex ,I cannot agree with you more on that, its all the hidden little cost that add up to a HUGH bill.
stick to the original engine and believe me that 4.5 with new intestines is awesome, just ask Graham to set the co etc afterwards
