Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Morning all

Went to look at this Patrol on Saturday morning.

Niggles:
- CD player not working.
- Aircon fan has vibration noise on Speed #2.
- BFG AT's not in the best possible shape.

Apart from that, this is a really nice example. She's done some work, but no leaks underneath that I could see apart from what looks like a minor sweat at the T/case. Body has some bush blush, but no major dents/damage that I could see.

Inside has Escape Gear seat covers and 7 seats still there. All electrics are still working, engine sounds good and 4H/4L still works. Only had a quick test, but didn't get difflock to engage.

I have asked the owner, Derrick, to take it to Graham for a check up; will post an update once done.

Pricing is not fixed; owner is looking ideally for R195k, but I suggested that we ask Graham for a realistic price once he's seen the vehicle.

PS Small crack on windscreen in bottom RH corner running for 20cm from R to L.

If you were only looking at the light on the dash, rather than checking whether the axle indeed locked, then this may that the indicator switch is not working, rather than the diff lock it self. Which is much cheaper to fix. Graham will test this though.

Graham did indeed; I have sent the details to Gerrit and he will let me know whether he is interested.

If not, I will make a new post and list all points as received from Graham regarding this vehicle.

As mentioned earlier, I had a look at this vehicle on Saturday and mailed details to Gerrit as he had FRF. He doesn't feel this is 'his', so I am posting this to the rest of the forum. Copied from my mail to Gerrit:

Verdere punte uitgewys deur Graham:
• Dis 'n 2004 model maar in 2005 geregistreer, het dus die plastiese dash; volgens Graham 'n goeie ding.
• Die arm rest cover is missing.
• All moving parts are OK, i.e. diffs, engine, gearbox.
• Might need to be replaced soon: 2 rear shocks.
• Steering box needs adjustment.
• Small leak in piping for Auto gearbox, not major leak.
• CD shuttle not working, radio working. (korreksie op my bg punt)
• Difflock works, but difflock light switch not working; to be replaced.
• Squeaky rear doors
• Overall good condition, well looked after
• Seen a lot of dust conditions, but not rocks. Overland dusty travel, in other words.
• RF window sensor needs to be replaced; window closes, but not correct height.

Voorgestelde prys:
- R165k to R175k; Raka sal kan finansier teen geringe fooi.

Ek is ook uit omdat ek kyk na 'n ander voertuig.
