Clem,
I can confirm. You would be running 17" rims.
Regarding the fuel tank size Cedric refered to I hope the 140L he referred to was the increased size of the main tank because the standard capacity (main + sub) is 135L according to me. It would be sad to spend 5 -6K for 5L increase.

My bumper is a REDBACK, it comes with removeble U bars over the bonnet and lights which I removed and had spacers made up.

The comment on spare rims was correct, I fitted after market rimms and my front right wheel came off. All the wheel nuts were loose. I went back to my standard 17" rims, later I looked but could not see exacly what causes it.

I used to carry two spares but with the Patrol its a bit of a hassle so I now carry a spare tube, gatters and tyre levers. In all small towns/villages you will find a tyre machine failing that i will fit it myself. It is a big job but with a couple of beers and help from friends it is possible.

The high lift jack points did not come with the bumper they were fitted afterwards, they are a must.

Thank you very much Bruin Beer. I will be sure not to make that mistake. :-)

Thank you very much for the information Andrew. I hate fitting tyres manually by hand but sometimes you just have to get on with it.

Sorry... let me re-phrase They remove the main standard 90L tank and replace with a 140L. Then with your standard sub tank which is, if I'm not mistaken 45L, you should will have close to 190L of fuel

Clem,

Call Northern off road. They build a 136 lt ss tank and it is a direct replacement and works like a charm.

Tried twice yesterday - no answer. Sent an email. We'll see. They've done work for me before.

I had my wheel off this weekend as a friend has 4 Cruiser 80 16"rims available. Mine are 17" but as the diesel has 16" I assumed they would fit or at least give them a try. They did fit with a very small gap between the callipers could be a problem if the rim gets bent.

I had a good look to try and understand what make the fitment on the patrols so special but could not see it, can anybody help?

Also has anybody successfully fitted cruiser wheels on a patrol?
