It took a lot of saving up -- but at last I could send in LOBO's engine to Van Der Linde .. and Shaun personally attended to the Oupa Truck ..
Strike one bad news: The man in the Cape who worked on LOBO's engine inserted the spacers on the crank in the wrong positions and F -- uhhh MESSSED-up the crank beyond repair as it cut grooves into it.
Strike two - That noise he made ... Lobo had "dropped a valve" -- and slaat n murse gat in die head..
So - We had to buy a crank and head - Fortunately those were "as new" and Shaun did his magic on that engine.
R24 000 and some change later Lobo has an engine again WITH the proper crank pulley
Saturday I went to fetch the 5-speed box from Firessafari [Dankie Johann!!!] Now - in the next week Ox [Lobo's mekki for now] must fit the "new" 5-speed box and the engine -- Then LOBO must go to Jose the Porra and have his rust "make vanish"
En dan sien ek julle op die trails :-)
