For all those who are following my post, this will be my last post here, because it's finally
finished!
I'm currently breaking in my "new" engine got 300kms on her so far, and all going well...
I'm saving up for a new stainless exhaust with branches (R5300 - quote from TNT) as the old one required welding and I've been battling with exhaust gaskets, but I've finally stopped her sounding like a tractor... Advice for anyone purchasing a Patrol from the coast (Richards Bay mine came from) - Look underneath for rust, it may not always be visible from above...
Here's a few photo's of the work and the finished product (the fan cover is missing 'cause it don't fit no more..!)
I was using a Hilux bakkie while she was standin and I'm really glad to have her up and running again...
Wife thinks it was a waste of money but I say it was worth every penny...
