As we all know, 4x4's don't get stuck .... their journeys are only temporarily interrupted .... experienced it myself and seen it happen to plenty others ... including Cruisers ;)

I read the article on that trip, which is in the new SA4x4. Now that sounds like a trip I wouldn't mind doing!

However, reading the article it sounds like it was more than just the gearbox that malfunctioned, as the article says it sounded pretty rough when they got it out of the water?

I have gone through deeper water than that and have seen many clips of 4.8 Tiptronic Patrols doing hectic water crossings without a problem. Sure if water gets inside the cab and short out the TCU you will have problems but in a normal crossing??? :think:

How would we learn if we did not make mistakes.

My hope is that the consequences to my mistake stay affordable.
