Glad I found this thread!
My 4.8 has this exact problem at the moment - it doesnt turn right as well as it does left - I looked like a real chop the other day pulling into a parking and the damn thing wouldnt turn sharp enough.
So I'll be under my patrol this weekend if anyone needs me

Graham, have you done anything (or had somebody else do anything) under your car recently?

That adjuster can come loose by itself but it's fairly unlikely?
I once had this happen after replacing the steering damper. Turned out it was a different length than the original, and I ended up moving the mounting bracket on the drag link to solve it.

Yes, disconnect the steering damper and try to turn again. It's more than likely an incorrect damper

Nope. That poor car has experienced serious neglect over the past year and a bit.
Its suspension is absolutely shot though, so, maybe the steering damper is doing something wierd as well.

It was strange, when I pulled into the parking, I definitely noticed its 'full lock' to the right wasnt enough. I reversed to straighten up, and turned right again and when I got to that incorrect full lock again there was a satisfying release, and I could turn it further.
I tested this morning and I get two full turns to the left, but only just over 1.5 to the right.

I don't think the steering damper can "go faulty" in a way that can cause this. First port of call: adjusting stops.

Checked the Prepper Wagon out this morning also found a bit of a difference, 2 turns to the left and 1 and 3\4 to the right, will check it out when I do the brakes later, can only be stops, I hope.
